The world falls into darkness when the villainous terrorist organization Cobra launches a devastating assault on the aircraft carrier USS Flagg and unleashes a fearsome device called the Blackout Sphere. With the world now under Cobra's iron grip, the elite special forces unit known as the G.I. Joe team finds itself hunted and scattered. To have any hope of turning the tide, the surviving Joes must discover where their captured leader Duke is being held, track down and reunite their separated teammates, and mount a daring resistance.
